Cheapest place I've seen so far is http://www.brewgadgets.com/p-129-plastic-bottle-caps.aspx $4.29 for 25, actual shipping costs. $4.37 for 25 with actual shipping costs from http://labelpeelers.com/28-mm-closure-caps-for-pet-bottles-p-2502.html

To be clear, you mean the plastic style caps that Mr. Beer includes with their kits? You could always find some people who drink coke or whatever, and ask them to save theirs. There are a few different heights, but after a short time, you'd get a go

Do you have any yeast nutrient? Adding it with each sugar addition could only help, particularly since you do plan to reuse this yeast. Your schedule for adding the candi syrup is pretty good, but you might consider waiting less time between the two

Ok, so I'm planning out my next few brews. I'm going to make the Brewferm tripel. For those who arent familiar, it's a no boil that you add 500g of sugar to. I've seen suggestions to add corn sugar, candi syrup or DME. I've also seen something

Anyone know a good place to get bottle caps for cheap? Mr. Beer was $.50 for 8 but jacked the price up to $2.95 for 8. I can get 24 for $4.50 at most home brew places but I am trying to see if there is a way to get them in large numbers. I can by 24

I keep expecting the other shoe to drop, so to speak, and bury us with a huge storm. Daffodils next to my house are blooming. Going to be near 70 on Thursday. This is just weird.

Make sure you get the regular bread yeast, NOT the Quick Rise bread yeast, and not the bread machine yeast.
