Description

This is my English dark ale. I used a bit less water than what was called for in the recipe to make it taste a little stronger, which also made it darker so it looks like a stout. It tastes awesome, nice bitter, kind of like hobgoblin... if you've had that, except it's more stout like. Anyway, success!!

Gee, I'm going to have to have sexy glasses to take pictures in a chalice or goblet would be a nice change of pace. see if your local beer store has a Chimay or Duvel gift pack that you could treat yourself with. they basically throw in a nice glass for free (the sets range from $18-22 depending on your area) required? certainly not! nice to have? definitely! I highly recommend the duvel pack. I got 4 bottles of duvel and the tulip glass for $17 or so. Tulips work well for many styles, but especially with belgian styles which I love. the chimay glass is nice but really is only designed for chimay but I use it for my other tripels.
