I'm new to MrBeerfans.com, I have 2 kits which I have made with their original pale ale, one I added clover honey to & the other Brown Cane Sugar. I want to continue using my kit to make other beers, but want to make it from my own ingredients instead of using the pre-mixed cans, but do not know how much or what exactly to put into my wort. I like almost every beer I have tried with exception to cheap lagers (which give me a bad headache). Please help me with some recipies, I just cracked open the 1st bottle of the second batch, so I fear I will be out of beer before the next batch is finished.

Poke around in the Extract Recipe section of MrBFans where you'll find plenty-o-ideas. Is there a commercially-made beer you like? That would be a good starting point.

Give us a style and I am sure you will get plenty of suggestions. I am sure that you know that our LHBS is Stomp Them Grapes. They sell Briess extract in bulk for $2.59/lb. That would be yer start. Is it safe to assume that you are the young lady that I met at BB&B buying your starter kit? Oh and sorry, I edited your original post as it used black type and using the Dark Skin for the forums made it look like a blank post. Welcome to the forums!

I created two Blue Moon type recipes using the basic Mr. Beer ingredients plus a few additional readily available adjuncts. My daughter is a big fan of both Blue Moon and the now defunct Sam Adams White Ale, she liked both samples we tried at bottling time. I brewed the recipes at the beginning of May and I just moved a few bottles into the fridge last night. They should be nice and cold when we try them later today, look for my updates. I found my recipes on BeerTools, converted them to 2 gallon batch size, and recreated them @ Brewmasterswarehouse ...works pretty good. (*For now I'm going with Bishop's Two-gallon Keghouse, aka BTK Brewing... let me know what you think of my recipes!)
