As I mentioned a few days ago (on that other forum), there has been a little bit of database updating on the MB site. The IBU and SRM for all of the malt extracts (except premium HMEs) were a little out of date, and they all have been adjusted.

The changes represent incremental adjustments at the manufacturing facility over the past 4 years, not a sudden change -- so you're still getting the same stuff you were yesterday (or last week, etc), the numbers on the website are just a bit more accurate.

So you don't have to go surfing across the site, here are the updated numbers for each Extract. Remember, these are contributions per 2.13 gallon batch, not the values you want to input directly into Qbrew.

For the record, the average IBU changed by about 8 (they've all gone up a bit), and the average color lightened up by about 2 SRM.

The recipes, on average, changed by about the same amounts.

If you want to approximate these changes using qbrew, use the following values:

This should get you in the ballpark, but may need a little tweaking, as I haven't tested them extensively.

Seeing how this is the MR BEER FANS forum...I'd think you'd want to post your updates HERE first...instead of 'on that other forum.'

Bad enough the rest of the home-brewing community treats us nano-brewers like red-headed step-children. Why would MrB do the same?
