I think I saw both in a recent pic posted by Andy.

Can't take credit. Saw this version on another site and knew from experience working with PVC it is easier th saw cut than drill. Hope it works out for you.

IPA The one I was describing is very close to the picture on the left, but instead of cuts it has holes drilled in it.

She might want me out now!

I had a batch of Wit blow off sometime last night. It wasn't as bad as it could have been but I still have to clean the ceiling.

I'm both impressed and shocked. How does that happen, I thought the vented cap would have helped avoid geyser activity?

Would putting a gasket under the lid, and then drilling a hole for an airlock have changed anything? Or are your brews just too BIG for Mr.Beer?

So far I have managed to avoid the doghouse with brewing mishaps (now I have probably cursed myself ). Good luck on the cleanup!

Don't be impressed ... I'm scrubbing the floor \:\)

It was a 5 gallon batch so I was not using a MB fermenter. I though I had plenty of room. It looks like it will hold 7-8 gallons(I'll be measuring that). First time using White Labs yeast, that stuff REALLY gets going! Temp is 70F-72F.

I just hope it's not ruined..
