Besides simply pouring the wort in and out of fermenters, does anyone have any (simple) techniques for aerating wort? Or does pouring suffice?

i found an old medical O2 tank downstairs... my dad has sleep apnea and doesn't use it anymore. i will be taking that with me when i move out, fo sho. similarly, you can get an oxygen regulator, like this: http://morebeer.com/view_product/16606/beerwinecoffee/Oxygen_Regulator_-_For_Disposable_Tanks_w_Barband some tubing and a diffusion stone, like this: http://morebeer.com/view_product/18252/102299/Diffusion_Stone_-_2_Micron_Oxygen_Stoneand hook it up to a little red oxygen benzomatic tank they sell at lowes or HD, next to the butane and MAPP gas... i think the tank is like $10. so for $40ish you got a system ready to go note: links for reference, not saying "go buy it there"... lots of online HBS's have that stuff, and your LHBS (if you have one) may have them, too.

What does the experience with your process tell you about how well it works? Do you get good...complete fermentation? Is attenuation what you expect? I use a combination of splashy siphoning followed by a few rounds of vigorous whisking with good results.

All I have used to date is the "little brown keg" and to date a couple minutes of "whipping into submission" with a wire whisk seems to do the trick just fine for me. I agree with a larger batch more industrial methods might be in order.
