Do you have any Mt. Hood or Crystal, orreally any US noble cross? They should be a pretty good sub.

No I have Columbus, nugget, Goldings (EK), chinook, centennial, hersberker (sp?), and tettnang. I also have homegrown cascades.

Are the tettnang US or German? Either way, they'd probably be what I'd sub.

Went with the tettnang (German). Thanks Jon!
Not going well so far. Missed my mash temperature and had my ball valve open when I started sparging. Hopefully I got it shut before too much grain came through. Oh well...I will have beer.

A little, 4°. Nothing to worry too much about. I was rushed and didn't have time to adjust it.

Ok last hurdle. I tried to use my auto-siphon since I used whole hops, but it kept getting clogged. Missed my OG by 2 points, and that was with me underestimating my efficiency. I have been around 73%, but this one was 68%. I may tighten my mill a bit or may just ride it out and see how the next batch goes. May work out since my alcohol and IBU's were high. Hydro sample tasted awesome though.

i use one of the small paint strainer bags as a "filter"... that's what i figured out to do after i used whole hops and my autosiphon.
