This is my best beer since going all grain, maybe ever?
I can't locate the recipe but will post it when I run across
it. I remember it being mostly pilsner with a touch of maris
otter, c-10, c-60 and carapils. Fermented with T-58 that got
a little warmer than I planned so just a touch of banana
rather than the clove I usually get from the T-58. Probably
I used saaz in the boil and I dry hopped it with several
ounces of various hops. It's a really good session beer
with tons of hop aroma and flavor without the bitter.

Looks great and nice touch with the fireworks.

Would like to see the recipe. I'm a big fan of flavor and aroma minus bitter.

This was the original recipe:
10 gallons

13.0 lbs pilsner
2.0 lbs maris otter
.75 lbs crystal 10
.75 lbs crystal 60
.250 lbs carapils
.125 lbs crystal 120
.50 lbs cane sugar

.75 oz saaz @ 40
.75 oz saaz @ 10
.50 oz saaz @ 5

yeast T-58
IBU 12
SRM 7
ABV 4.8

Dry hopped with amarillo

It was great when fresh and back in october I slipped a couple
bottles into a competition along with anothe brew. The amarillo
aroma had faded out by then but it scored pretty well anyway.
The judges asked for more malty flavor so I changed it up and
re brewed it about 3 weeks ago.

New recipe:

13.0 lbs pilsner
3.0 lbs munich
1.0 lbs crystal 60
.250 lbs carapils
.125 lbs crystal 120
.50 lbs crystal 10
.250 lbs roasted barley
.250 lbs cane sugar

1 oz whole leaf amarillo @ 25
1 oz saaz 15
1 oz saaz 5

Yeast US 05 re hydrated

IBU 15
SRM 13
ABV 5.0

dry hopped with 1 oz whole leaf amarillo, 1 oz saaz and 1/2 oz
cascade in each bucket.

Kegged one bucket this morning and the flavor was outstanding.

Looks/sounds good. To me the most interesting part of this is the Saaz. It seems out of place, but per your tasting it's not.

I might have to steal that for a small batch. I got some leftover Saaz. Hmmmm....

My plan for this was a hybrid pale ale/ blonde/ pilsner maybe. Easy drinking
beer for the July 4th weekend. The munich has taken it to a
new level so it's more bisquity bready than just bready.
It's leaning towards a pale ale but without the bitter grapefruit
that normally goes with a pale ale. I do like the saaz. Combined with
pilsner it just screams american beer. It's a very forgiving hop
that's floral earthy grassy but not overpowering in any dept.
The amarillo really makes it special or at least I hope it will
this time too. The first version was a smooth thirst quencher with
amarillo on the finish.

Well this batch turned out better than the last. The hops are
really forward but in a good way. It tastes like pink grapefruit
and the aroma makes you think wow this is gonna be bitter but it's
a real easy drinker and a thirst quencher. Not dry at all and it's
really tough to put down the mug, almost impossible.
The wife says it's my best beer to date and the best beer she
has ever drank. SWMBO approved !!!
It's creeping more toward a pale ale now, kind of a pale ale/
octoberfest cross without the bitterness but tons of hop flavor.
