Well, the first party pig batch is ready to drink. As promised, I have updated how I feel about it along the way and that can be read here.
I love this thing. I really don't see many downsides. Easy to fill, easy to use and the beer turned out great. The only thing I haven't done yet is finished the pig and set it up to reuse. I've read that popping the pressure pouch can be a bit of a pain but I'm sure I can figure it out without too much trouble.
The one downside I can think of is the price of the pouches. They are around $3.50 each and you need one per batch. Yeah, it's not ideal BUT I don'l plan to pig each batch and I don't mind buying them. It would take me a long time of buying those to catch up to the price of a 2 keg system.
Final thoughts? It's great. Fits a Mr. Beer batch perfectly and I love the idea of coming home and grabbing a pint or letting people taste my beer without giving them a whole bottle. I will post updates after I empty this one and if I ever have any problems.
Notes on the video: I did overcarb this, the next batch will be better. I also had a hard time pressing the button. It's not really that hard but my thumb must be weak or something. Also, I took another pint after about 15 mins and there was much less foam, it was all beer with perfect head. Also, this is my first youtube upload that I took the time to edit and add titles and stuff. Sorry if it's stupid lol.
Hope you guys enjoy and hope someone gets some info from the experiment and I really home someone else buys one of these cause they are great!!

I think the pig is a great way to go if you don't have room for a dedicated beer fridge with kegs. Being able to draw exactly how much you want or to just top off your glass when passing by is priceless.

I did make beer and it was great!! I've been scouring HBT and ebay looking for a couple more of these things. I really like them.

Great job on the video. I just kegged for the first time this weekend, so I'm looking forward to the first time being able to pull a draft while passing by the fridge.

Congrats. Looks nice. I got a good price on a kegerator from a store and slowly upgraded over the years as I find kegs or taps for decent prices. But the party pigs are great for a low cost alternative. Also seems that they would be pretty portable.
