Scored a mini fridge for free this weekend. Have partially converted it to a kegerator that will hold 2 corny kegs and a 5# co2 tank. I say partially as I am still using picnic taps and will upgrade to tower later. The fridge was a 4.4 cubic foot magic chef and had a freezer section, but I was able to carefully bend it out of the way and cut out some of the insulation to get the corny kegs to fit. smile

A kegerator that uses picnic taps is still a kegerator! Well done sir, well done!

Craigslist is a good place to score gear. Great find!

I use picnic taps in my keezer. Don't feel ashamed for using picnic taps.

And, it looks like you did a clean job hacking and hammering the interior to make it fit. I've seen some that looked like a blind man swinging a hatchet did the work.

Thanks. The plastic walls and shelving on door cut very easily with an exacto knife. For the door, I needed to save about 1 inch of the plastic to screw back in the rubber gasket and actually used scissors to do that. Worked really well.

As for the foam, it was a hack job. I mainly used a leatherman pocketknife and tried to cut out chunks instead of shave it away.

In the end, I am very happy.
