Poured 4 gallons of apple juice onto the yeast cake from my most recent spiced cider after kegging it tonight.

I don't plan to spice this one, but it may pick up some spice notes from the trub of the spiced cider.

I might dump some sugar or honey in later this week to boost the gravity a smidge, but we'll see.

Have you thought about adding some Belgian Candi Sugar, maybe the amber?

I have not, but it might not be a bad idea...though I could just as easily make an invert sugar syrup out of beet sugar and cook it 'til it reaches a nice amber color. Maybe I'll do that later this week.

This one has been fermenting cool, and taking its sweet time. When I have room in my kegerator (aka when I kick two more kegs, because my Dark American Lager is next in line to be kegged), I'll rack this into a keg with either 2 cans of AJC, or 1 can and 1 gallon of fresh cider/juice.

I did not add any candi sugar or syrup...this will be a very basic, but damn tasty cider.

Just did the same with a yeast cake that started with a mead in october, then an apple wine, then a mix of apple and cranberry, and now 2 gallons of apple juice with a 1/4 lb of crystal 60. Im planning on going on and seeing just how many batches I can get out of one packet of yeast.
