WAY off topic, but does that cover repel water or does it let it filter through?

Ours lets the water through. That means I have to drain the pool very low when I close it and open it in the spring with basically several thousand gallons of rain water that needs heavily treated. I'm just wondering if I went the right way with that cover.

Most I've seen let the water drain through. Since the pool is low in either case the water is going to end up in your pool, either under the cover or on top of it.

Like Dane said, water drains right through. I drain it to the point that there is about a foot of water in the shallow end.

My biggest peeve is that not only water gets through, but pollen and dust/dirt. Spring openings are quite the chore.

All in all though I am happy I went this route. The actual chore of removing the cover is a snap. that pool is 20X40 and the wife and I remover the cover and fold and put it away in an hour or 2.

Plus it is safer. We got a new dog a couple of years ago in the fall and the dumb dog kept running across the covered pool.
