I brewed this Light American Lager today. this is my test after about 15 minutes or so. You could see the crud at the bottom.

how much whirlfloc and how late in the boil? Did you use a chiller at all?

Trying to get my usage right. looks good though!!

1 tablet @ 15 minutes left in the boil. I added it when I put the chiller in to sanitize.

That is my new petco hydrometer which IS floating in there.

did you just chill with cold water? no stirring or whirlpooling with the chller? was this a 5g batch? AG, extract or PM?

I swear its floating. the pic is kind of cut off. there is at least 3 more inches of test cylinder that you cant see.The petco hydrometer is very small. I took the pic with my phone.

this was a 4 gallon AG brew cooled with a wort chiller.
