Thanks for the ideas smile Also sorry for the vagueness, to be a little more specific I am looking for a beer with a light to mild flavor that finishes crisp. I did google LBBP and the Big Fly Pilsner (thanks natural320) is currently on top of my list for my next brew. If anyone has any other suggestions for a brew that might fit i would appreciate your knowledge. Thanks and Happy Drinking!

For a crisp clean finish you will definately want to ferment on the cooler side like everyone has suggested. Lager temperatures if possible (50's) and low ale temperatures (low 60's) if the lower temperature can't be maintained.
There are many low budget techniques for achieving cooler temps. Check out the ideas for a swamp cooler. Many people here use them with great success.

While I am Canadian I've lived most of my life in The States although I'm less than half an hour's drive to Canada. I've tried many Canadian brews and used to be a big fan but similar to the big American beers everything has been cheapened up. I swear even Molson Canadian or Molson Golden don't taste the same as they used to. I've tried making a few Canadian style beers including lagers (using Cooper's among others including HCCD) but sadly have not come upon a Canadian clone or anything worth repeating.

Oh, they were decent beers just not anything I would equate to the "old" true Canadian lagers or ales.
