ah the joy of wheat yeasts! I am using their German 3068, and it smells absolutely awful
love the final product though!

The 3068 yeast is a work horse in my brewery, have it in use right now with a graff recipe.

First time I made a lager, I was sure it was ruined. Everyone on here reassured me and it turned out fine, but man lagers really stank!!! I have never noticed it with my wheats though. I'll have to pay more attention this year.

Yeah, it depends on the strain and the temperature. Each yeast strain is different (Duh!), but even the same strain at different temps can give you different results.

Boy howdy! Using Munich at 58° is WORLDS different than using it at 70°!
Strong phenols from the low temps with ZERO banana, vs strong banana and ZERO phenols at the high temps. Though the naner is still probably less than a liquid wheat yeast.

MOST definitely! Munich will get you a decent wheat beer...3068 will get you a GREAT hefe
