I'm sterling for the first time and my grains were in the water for 10th min and I let the heat get up to 200! We had the thermometer in the grain bag. Noob mistake. Should I bring it back down to 150 and keep going or is it ruined??

Add cold tap water to bring it down to 150-160°.

Are you mashing an AG brew or steeping grains for an extract brew? How long were the temps that high? what did you do about it?

tannin city... i wouldn't use it, probably going to taste like sucking on a tea bag. best to move on, dump it, and chalk it up to a "learning experience".

Eh, maybe, maybe not.

Cool a sample sown and give it a taste. You're probably ok.
