Anyone have an extract recipe for an IPA using Falconers Hops? I picked some up on a trip back east and would like to put it to good use.

While I have never used Falconer's or Falconer's Flight...
I would have to do some research and see if they were a bittering, dual-purpose, or aroma hop and go from there on my BeerSmith 2.0 software to compute IBU's (I'm at work) wink

it is a blended hop....with a proprietary blend...but I would assume simcoe amarillo and citra are in there...

I am currently drinking an IPA that I made with Falconer's Flight and Challenger hops. It's quite tasty. But I'm still trying to figure out what kind of citrus fruit it reminds me of. Hard to tell for sure because of the Challenger getting in there.

It was an All Grain 5gal batch, so I'm not sure what kind of help I'd be for you. But I would use a light crystal malt in there so as to let the hops really shine. Go with Light DME + something like Crystal 40. Maybe some CaraPils/Foam.

Good luck!

Here's what I ended up making:
1 can WPCA HME
1 can Pale Export UME
12 oz light LME
1 pk booster

Boiled UME, LME, booster with
0.5 oz Columbus pellet hops @ 30 min
0.5 oz falconers pellet hops @ 20 min
0.5 oz falconers pellet hops @ boil off
1 pk Nottingham Yeast
will ferment ~3 wks in LBK

This smells real good! Wish I had some more falconers to dry hop with...
