CONGRATULATIONS TO Jon_TWR, BREWER OF THE MONTH FOR FEBRUARY 2012.
The voting made for a real horse race this time around with all the candidates putting up a good showing.
Jon was previously BOTM way back in August 2009 and I'll guess that something in his 9000+ posts brought in his votes.
Are you interested in re-answering the winners interview questions, Jon?
1) When did you start brewing and what made you interested? 2) What is your favorite beer? 3) Who would you most like to share a beer with? 4) What is your favorite recipe(s)?

CONGRATULATIONS TO Jon_TWR, BREWER OF THE MONTH FOR FEBRUARY 2012.
The voting made for a real horse race this time around with all the candidates putting up a good showing.
Jon was previously BOTM way back in August 2010 and I'll guess that something in his 9000+ posts brought in his votes.
Are you interested in re-answering the winners interview questions, Jon?
1) When did you start brewing and what made you interested? 2) What is your favorite beer? 3) Who would you most like to share a beer with? 4) What is your favorite recipe(s)? Sure, I'll re-answer them...some of my answers have changed, I'm sure. 1) I started brewing in December of 2009, when I bought myself a Mr. Beer kit while getting one for my brother for Christmas. He ended up taking his back, and I ended up here. I got started brewing because I really like beer, and it's friggin' expensive. But, like a lot of peoplenI didn't think I had the space in my small apartment. Then I learned about Mr. Beer, and with a little research (and some lurking here before I joined) I learned it's possible to make beer on-par with anything you can buy (and it costs less, too!?)...well, it was a no brainer. 2) This is a tough one to answer, because it really depends on my mood, and I like a *lot* of different styles of beer. But, I'll go with a beer that I can enjoy at just about anytime...Dogfish Head's 60 Minute IPA. 3) This is another tough one. I'm just going to cop-out and say Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head. 4) This, again, changes often. I'm a big fan of my Otterweizen (a simple hefe recipe that's about 60% wheat/40% marris otter, using a less banana-y hefe yeast like WLP308 or Wyeast 3068 fermented nice and cool), but something hoppy and drinkable, like a nice APA or IPA is always great. My pale ale in my sig, for example. And I can't forget Pudge's Mild, that is a great, sessionable beer with a TON of flavor, even if it has a low alcohol content. Thanks everyone, and particularly to Pudge for the nomination. I owe that guy some beer!
