Another batch from this morning, thought this might make for something along the lines of an English Bitter. Sample had a great color, I guess we will see how it comes out. Put together a blend of specialty grains, was limited on what I could steep, but they should lend some nice toasty, malty flavors.

1.045 OG, 12 SRM, 33 IBU
1 can Bewitched Ale
1 lb Wheat DME
.125 lb Carvienne
.125 lb Caramunich
.125 lb Special Roast
.125 lb Carapils

All Styrian Goldings
.5 oz 30 min
.5 oz 15 min
.5 oz 5 min
.5 oz 1 min

S04 Fermented at 66°

Hard to say where I'd put this one. I think it might be too much wheat for a Bitter. I guess it kind of depends on the final product.

It will make beer and I'm sure it won't be that bad.

I still have a "Jury's Out" opinion on Styrian Goldings. It's a hop that I need to play with some more.

Well the wheat DME is only partially wheat...the LHBS has that and Pilsen in DME, it might just help with body and mouthfeel. Styrian Goldings have worked great for me. Very versatile and flavorful from Bitters to spice beers and they are used a lot in Belgians from what ive seen.

Yeah, I think the wheat DME will be fine in that recipe.

Of course, I think that about wheat DME/malt in EVERY recipe! grin
