can't speak for the kit, but if you are doing all grain...I made this up last summer, and in a side-by-side with a real DGA, my recipe could have passed as the real thing. it was actually just a tad sweeter and clearer (somehow), but the flavors and body were nearly identical. 2 out of 3 testers picked the homebrew as the commercial version!

- Briess 2-Row: 5 lbs 6 oz
- Weyermann Munich Type II: 9 oz
- Weyermann Cara Munich I: 9 oz
- Briess Caramel 40: 4 oz
- Pacman yeast slurry
- Perle hops: 1 oz (.625 @ 60, .25 @ 30, .125 @ 5)
- Saaz hops: 1/4 oz (5 min)
mash @ 156° for 60 minutes
OG 1.067 - 6.55% ABV - 31 IBU
added bonus: the ingredients for this recipe for a MB-size batch (2.5 gal into the keg), including the actual Rogue Pacman yeast (from wyeast) is only $22.50 from brewmasterswarehouse.com
