Ok just cracked open a octfest just followed mb recipe with booster..I did the 2-3-1 just to sample..same sorta sweet smell better than the wcpa i did... but a little fizzy sorta like seltzer..Im hoping the sticky wicket will be better..i dont know sorta tastes like the wcpa but not as sweet and better carbonation..are the deluxe and premium refills alot better i bought a few of those..

You mean just the Octoberfest with booster? Yes the deluxe and premium recipes are better. Booster adds alcohol and contains some "body" but all malt or least 2/3rd's malt makes a better beer.

No...that is the end result of a thin and overcarbed beer. The sweetness and flavors might condition a bit but the body wont get better nor will the carbonation level go any less.

Yeah, Mr. Beer does tend to recommend pretty high levels of carbonation, because they'd rather have people end up with overcarbed beer than undercarbed beer.

Next time, try an all malt recipe, and try using about two thirds to three quarters the amount of priming sugar Mr. Beer reccomends.

Good luck, and don't be afraid to ask more questions!
