Way, way late to this thread, but...

I hope your repitching of this yeast works well. I wouldn't recommend it though. Like Jon said early in the thread, it can be done and possibly without negative results. It will make beer, no doubt.

I kind of draw the reuse line at about 1.060 and it should probably be lower than that. CO2 and alcohol are toxic to yeast and this brew is pushing 9%. It is in a very tough place to live. Can it be reused? Sure, but it won't be in the healthiest condition. I would be worried that it would put a quality limitation on your next brew before you even begin. It isn't like it's a competition beer or anything, but to paraphrase Stinkfist from another thread... Quality in = quality out.

Pudge, thanks for the advice. I had so little yeast in this batch that I didn't bother trying to keep it. I'm going to just get a new vial and make a starter. It'll chew through my other recipe without a problem.
